Apple apps

Mail, Calendar and more on your Mac

Apple apps lets agents use Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes, Messages and Safari on this Mac. It works on macOS only. OpenBot starts mcp-icloud, a community server that is not made by Apple or OpenBot. The server controls the apps through AppleScript, on this computer, and needs no account and no key. The first time an agent uses an app, macOS asks if OpenBot can control it. To change this later, open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation. Agents can send email and iMessages, and change or delete events, contacts and reminders, so review each write before you approve it. What the tools read, such as email text, goes to the model provider of the agent.

How to connect Apple apps to OpenBot

  1. Open Apple apps in OpenBot

Press Open in OpenBot on this page, or find Apple apps in the app's Apps tab. Get the app first if it is not on this computer.

  2. Give an agent a task

OpenBot asks for no sign-in or key for Apple apps. Ask an agent for work that needs Apple apps, such as one of the example prompts below. The agent uses the plugin's tools to do it.
